Thanks to all of you who replied. I suspect that I will try to remove engine and transmission. It will give be a chance to clean up the tranny and paint it while it is out. Will also allow me to check the parking brake shoes much easier than in the car. Now - Will the steering rod have to be removed in order to remove the entire assembly or will everything be up and over it? Thanks to you all and best wishes for the new year. Charles
