Happy New Year all! I'm in the process of removing the 301 engine from my '57 Plymouth with Torqueflight. I have removed the radiator, fan, all wiring, fuel line, trodle lindage, and disconnected the exhaust, and front mounts. Now comes the hard part for me. I do not want to remove the transmission with the engine. Since the 301 has a adaptor plate between the bellhousing and engine, can I simply remove the bolts holding the bellhousing and remove the engine with the tourque converter attached? AND, if so, can the engine be jacked up enough to ride over the crossmember and pull it forward? I appreciate any and all comments and the sharing of your experience. Charles
