Since DeSotos have been a resource for Chrysler restorers for years, I think this is a doable cloning. Need the front clip and also the rear bumper. The unknown here is how close the rear upper fenders (with the fins) are to the Chrysler. Might have to graft that part. Also, the trim was different, so plan on filling and creating badge and trim piece holes as necessary. Finally, you will need to transfer the dashboard, steering wheel assembly and seats/interior panels to complete the cloning. The basic body stucture was shared by both Chrysler and DeSoto in 1956, so that and the frame (less motor mount pads) should be almost identical.
