Take care to remove anthing not metal such as hoses and rubber seals. Also it is wise to remove glass if possible. A slip with a sander and there goes the glass not to mention a chance of you getting hurt/cut. Also some industrial strippers can weaken glass or make it "fog". Glass that is 50 years old is already more brittle than new so take extra care. Good luck.
