Those of us who tinkered with these cars in the pre-Internet days and 'learned the hard way' seem to fall into two types: Either a "Hank-Alumcan-Daven-etc." who really appreciates this board (if it had existed twenty or thirty years ago, I'd probably know a lot more than I do now, AND my cars would have been fixed better and more quickly as well!), or a "Larspaintr@aol.com" who considers all information that's not in the shop manual or that you didn't learn yourself to be 'worthless'. As much as any classic car owner NEEDS the shop manual for their car, certain isolated procedures are outdated and a very few were wrong to start with. Larspaintr@aol.com would say you have to learn all this by yourself! PS: Erik, YOU have the neat handle on theis site, too bad 'chrycopsycho' is too long to fit on a license plate!
