wiring was straightforward for me,as vehicle didn't have many options.Hardly changed a thing going from 6 to 8. One thing I had to do was the 60 383 was setup for generator.61 and on have a hole drilled in the front of the head to mount a bracket for alternator.Depending on the vintage of the 318 you use you might have to make a bracket if you want to run alternator,try to use 61-64 motor and tranny setup as a complete unit.
