If period perfect correctness isn't an issue, you might look into a kickdown linkage kit from Lokar, I believe Jeg's (http://www.jegs.com carries them. They seemed like the best solution when I wanted to convert my 225 from a single bbl. carb to a newer 2 bbl "hyper pack" with headers. Just a thought if nothing else becomes readily available.
