After months of work I finally got my 57 K8-D100 out for a test drive. That old 315 Poly is pretty tight, but after 10 miles it was relaxing noticably. The pushbutton tranny had me worried, as the truck had been sitting for 23 years, but it upshifted just fine. Problem was it wouldn't downshift by itself. I had to push the 2 or even 1 button going uphill. I've heard there was some type of kickdown linkage between the tranny and carb, but this truck appears to be missing that. Anybody have a pic or detailed description of it? TIA, Pete
