Don't care what it looks like, just want to know if I can use the existing shifter with a later trans. Car has nothing in it now and it will be far easier to drop a later power combo in it than to round up the right stuff - I can get cores for rebuild and do them while I am driving it, if I want, but the rear end and front brakes will all be updated on the car. According to one source under 25 of these are known to still exist in any form, so I want to be prepared before i get waist deep in it. Thanks for the info.
