What makes a torsion bar right-handed or left-handed? Unless there is a controlled amount of torsional residual stress added into the finished bar, I can't see why the direction of loading would matter. Are current designs common on the 4X4 SUV's and light trucks also right and left handed? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.
