Is turning the 361 into a 407 stroker out of the question? It's on the same principal as the 431 or the 451. Have the block bored .030 and add a RB crank. How had would it be to find a pre-'62 RB crank and have the main journals turned down? I think pistons may be pricey though................also, I think a 361 with a Hughes cam and some basic head work (match porting, Exhaust port short side radius work) should be a decent runner.
