can you measure the range of motion-top of tank to bottom of tank-and bend float shaft to read bottom correctly or is it too short to reach bottom of tank---i can't see why with minimal mods you can't use the one you got---the best part is it works---with a little nip and tuck it should work fine---hope i helped---later---chuck lowe
