Hello, I have just purchased a 331 Hemi (C542)and Powerflite transmission out of a 1954 Chrysler New Yorker. This engine will be going in a modified 1962 Studebaker Lark convertible and I have been told that I will want to dump the Powerflite for a Torqueflite transmission. Being new to the MOPAR scene I know nothing of what I'm looking for in the piles of transmissions I'll probably look at at the GoodGuys National meet in Charlotte this weekend. I've been told to look for a '57-'61 Cast Iron Torqueflite. Anything I need to be aware of or look for on these transmissions (or how to identify the transmission)? Also what would a ballpark figure be for a rebuilt or rebuildable transmission? Thanks. Lee
