arthur, You sound like you really will regret this opportunity if you don't take it now. I say if you've got the $175 to blow and the thing is running too...go for it. Don't be 40 years old talking about "I remember when I could have gotten a 69 Plymouth Fury for drag racing (or whatever) and I passed it up!" Do you know how many posts I read like that on this board??!!!! I say, cram you and your 18 years of youthfulness into that almost-in-the-great-junkyard-in-the-sky car and have at it, bud. This $175 car may bring a million dollars worth of fun.
