For a long time now I have wanted to see a new version of "Christine" but I have my doubts as to how well it can be pulled off. I personally think any new film should be based more closely on the book instead of the movie, they are actually quite different. I also think that king himself should be involved. When you compare King films that were only based on his writings to ones where he actually was involved in thier production you find a stark contrast in quality. Of course, this is all personal opinion but at least one thing gives me hope...if a new film is made the odds are that any car that's destroyed will be a computer generated image rather than an actual Plymouth. These days it's far cheaper to make a computer model and destroy it with the touch of a button than it is to restore and destroy an actual car.
