Having only one long gear from standstill to sixty is not going to win any races. This is why we have % speed autos now. At least a 3 speed auto helps the car get of the line better. And putting 3.77 rear gears in will guarantee you'll get blown off in top speed. Who wants to be doing 5000 rpm at 90 mph? Surely even in USA fuel economy is a consideration. Obviously the T/F and P/Flite have the same top gear ratio.
