Chuck gave you the right answer get a 4bbl carb dual ehaust and a station wagon rear 373 or 391. Forget the torqueflight it will take you in the oppsite direction (slower). Your only looking for acceleration off the line not top end. However your engine will work harder while just crusing. You must get the rpm's up to get performance. I raced with both transmission the 1/4 mile is perfect for powerflights with the Poly engine.
