what i was stating is---if you are going to use the por-15 system---you don't have to use all their products to get a good end result---but i want piece of mind---and por-15 affords me that---before i started on my dart i researched parts and products for about a year---por-15 is my personal choice---it may not be the right choice in the long run---but it is the chosen path i have taken---zinc chromate is another good solution---the zinc is used as a sacrificial metal in a lot of rust preventative materials---the galvanizing process is one---it all comes down to choice---when i bought my dart a year ago i decided i was not going to build a show car---but a car i could drive and enjoy the rest of my life---i am doing a preservation and not a restoration---if it aint broke i aint fixing it---(which leaves very little not fixed)---i don't want to have to worry about getting scratches- dents-dings or driving in the rain---enjoyment---that is what i am after---what i am trying to put together is a late 60's high school kids hot rod---my era---i want it to look good---BUT---if i want to rip the tires off---i want to do it without fear of concours judges---AND THAT"S THE WAY IT IS JULY THE 29th. 2003---CHUCK LOWE ps.if i showed a little attitude i apologize it's just my nature
