Best to use a 56 Plymouth V8-277 with Powerflite. Your 6-cylinder frame will not have the front mounts welded to the frame, you'll have to install. The rear crossmember will bolt in. Only the standard transmission cars had the welded rear cross member, and it crosses at the bell housing. The Powerflite cross member crosses at the transmission tail. Your car has the 10" brakes. Plymouth put in 11" front brakes with the V8. If you have a good body, might be easier to bolt your body on a V8 chassis and running gear. (I happen to have such available.) I also have any and every part that you would need for your 56 Plymouth.
