If you have the factory service manual (or a reproduction) you'll find a drawing of the tool that is required to remove the door handle and window crank. I have succeeded in removing these with a standard tool that you can get at any parts store, but it did require a lot of trying and cussing. The handles have spring clips on them that catch a groove in the post they are mounted on. You have to catch the spring from the proper side and push it to release the clip. I beleive that you have to push from the side opposite the handle although I'm not 100% sure. Good luck!
