Sounds like my 56 wagon when I first bot it. Unknown miles, 20 yr old bias belted tires, etc etc. Ran great, but shimmy shake. After 2 sets tires (one bias ply cheapies, one set of stones), alignment, new shox, etc. still had some. When I rebuilt engine, on pulling engine/trans found there was only one of t wo bolts trans mount and it was not thru. So the Drivelline was always about an inch askew from the car CL!!!!! U never know on these old cars, what and where. Thats why they are so much FUN !!!?
