Amen. Lars. That's exactly my point. I had to pay the going rate and received an exceptional, vibration-free new driveshaft, plus the ability to use common U-joints. Andy Bernbaum was out of new ball and trunnion housing for my car at the time, and my housing was shot. Even with new parts inside, it was still sloppy. Other places quoted up to three hundred dollars for a N.O.S. ball and trunnion assembly, so I did what you did. Had a drive line shop make something that would work. No regrets on this end. :-)
