you should have no trouble with dual carbs on your 230. I would try and find a set of Fenton headers for it also.. This will make that little six run and the improved exhaust breathing should keep the carbs from being to rich with the better exhaus flow... I have a '48 Ply convert with a 231 Dodge and dual single throats and fenton headers with an Edmunds head (I'm running about 11 to 1 compression and a mild cam) the car runs great and really surprises some of my street rod buddies with their worn out small blocks. The other thing that really helps is a "53 Ply overdrive tranny.. We generally cruise at 75+ MPH with no problems.
