Ron.....1956 was a wierd year for Chrysler. Some of the vehicle started to get the "centerplane" drum brake setup, and others did not. I will look at all my literature (bet manual is a comprehensive CHRYCO Service Manual for Canadian built vehicles), and will see what I have. If I can reference your brakes via my parts book and that manual, I will send you copies of the pages, if indeed this setup is correct.
