I have slowly been putting my '58 Belvedere back together after rebuilding the engine. This weekend I decided to fill the radiator since it is almost complete. Much to my dismay I found that I had coolant leaks on both sides of the engine. The coolant is dripping off of the exhaust manifold studs at the same point on both sides of the engine. My diagnosis is that the studs thread into the cooling jacket and that the coolant is leaking out through the threads. Can anybody confirm that this is possible for me? I would also like suggestions about what I should use to seal the threads.
