Tim; The first part of the answer is for what or which vehicle. The second part is why for just the rear ? A easy answer is if you look at the size of the rims and tyres for station wagons of any make you will see the rim and tyre combo is wider. Here in MoPar Land if you look at the New Yorker's you will find a combo that will fit lesser MoPars. Imperials are another world since they have the larger 9/16" studs and the inner hole is larger than Plymouths/Dodge/De Soto and Chryslers. Any ole way 14 or 15x6 is the factory sizes that are OEM.
