I put Diamondback radials on my 58 DeSoto and couldn't be happier. They're smooth, handle great and look perfect. I went through the whole measurement thing before buying and they have a chart on their website www.diamondbacktires.com that shows the width and diameter of each size, so you can compare it to the size of the original bias ply that came from the factory. I've got a pretty big tire on there that is certainly wider than the original, but the same height, and I've got no clearance problems at all. Diamondback also lets you choose the size whitewall you want .. 2 1/2" - 2 3/4" or whatever. After driving a couple of cars with bias ply tires, I'm a firm believer in radials... Brad
