Once you get the axles of the correct length, you will need the '742' ring and pinion set (remember, the early rear ends are '741' rears, and the 742 has a larger ring and pinion set!). And MP states that the inside of the axle housing will have to be clearanced if the gear ratio used is 3.23 or taller. (get out the die grinder!) I like this aloy carrier housing too, but I have cars with 741 and 489 Sure-Grip rears, so having to call Randy's for 2 new 742 Sure-Grip assemblies would add a little to the cost (ow!)
