I'm winding up a long drawn out rebuild of my '58 Belvedere. I've been hooking things up and I was unable to find the original piece in question. The problem is the section of heater hose that runs between the water pump and the thermostat. To the best of my knowledge it should simply be a section of 3/4" hose but I haven't been able to fit a piece in that didn't kink. Is there some special technique or type of hose that I should be using? I replaced the water pump, so I though that perhaps I had the connecting piece there at the wrong angle, but no matter how I turn it the problem remains. Any suggestions?
