Recently bought a trans cable for a '57 desoto 3-speed. I was told by the seller that the ends on the trans were all the same, and i should buy the cable that was meant for the car. Well, the bushbutton end for a 57 desoto is right, but the other end is way to small, and the outer diameter of the cable is way to small, so fluid would be pouring out around it. So, the trans is out of a '56 chrysler, and its a three speed. So if i order the cable for a 56 chrylser, will the push button end fit the button mechanism? which cable should i order?
