Morning Daven and Bob O, Is there any other external info on the engine I can check to narrow this down? I may run to town later and I could stop by there. It looks EXACTLY like my 277 but as I mentioned, I don't know if it actually came in the truck. I would GUESS not since it has hardware store grade bolts holding the motor mounts to the block. Anyway like I told Hank I think I'm going to grab it (if the machinist can get pistons)so if we can't tell externally, I suppose we'll know for sure as soon as it comes out of the hot tank.
