Hello All, Just thought I'd put my two cents in. Now what I'm going to say is my own opinion and since I opened the door I guess the hate mail will follow. I can agree with Alumcan and Lee on both sides of the discussion. What I'm trying to say is that when we post something we should all take into account that we all come from different rungs of the economic ladder. Some of us would have to use a months salary to buy a rare part while others of us could by the part without even thinking about it. We have to respect that fact and be "sensitive" to those of us who aren't as fortunate. I'm on the low "rung" of the ladder but have friends who could drop a $100K for a new "toy" that they liked without thinking and I have friends that can barely afford to live from week to week. So I have nothing against someone who has alot of money or no money at all. Now when Alumcan said he felt he was talked down to when Lee replied to his e-mail, I personally felt the same way when I asked about the price of the tanks. Now Lee might not have meant it intentionally (I'm not Lee and I don't know him personally so I don't know his personality, etc..)but when I didn't get an answer I felt looked down upon. Like the old saying "If you have to ask how much, you probably can't afford it." For me a simple "I don't know now but I'll let you know as soon as I do" would have done fine. It takes me an incredible amount of work both with a regular job and my side job fixing radios to afford parts for my car let alone finding time to work on it. I sincerely appreciate everything that I get and hold it dearly. When I feel looked down upon I feel like I'm at my regular job ( there's alot of folks in my area that have a superiority complex). I come here for peace and quiet and to enjoy the Forward Look Cars with my fellow listmembers. So let's all enjoy it. Now Lee, if I offended you or insulted you in any way, you have my sincerest apologies in front of everyone here on the list. I welcome your reproduction parts projects and all of the neat photos on your website. If there's no hard feelings you can still count me in for a gas tank. Now as to Alumcan, I understand exactly where he was coming from. He felt looked down upon and was getting pissed. He said what he wanted to say (something that I didn't have the guts to) and got his point across. I talk with him quite frequently and he's a good, honest, down to earth kind of guy who's been talked dwon to one too many times. I would like to ask as a personal favor that no one "bash" the "can-man" for what he said. Now with that said, let's all shake hands and enjoy our cars once again; keeping in mind that we all are here for one purpose THE FORWARD LOOK . Take Care-Frank
