I'm restoring 61 Chrysler convertible. Folding top cylinders and the pump were stocked. I opened whole system, emptied brakefluid that was used, cleaned up everything and filled with transmission fluid. It's working great now. I'm wondering why did they use brake fluid as late as 1961? Is it better or what? Should I use it too in this car? In case of leak (that never happens) I think oil is much better option than brake fluid.
