Sorry, wrong line to reply above.., but while I am here, I wanted to know, did the trans guy show you what gunk or how much gunk there was? I rebuilt my powerflite and it was gunked to the brim!! absolutely horrible sludge that would make even the most hardened grease monkey cringe... But seriously, unless all of the parts were worn, gouged, galled, or metal shavings everywhere with no good parts left, you can rebuild the trans. I think that you'd be better off finding another place to estimate the rebuild of the torqueflite... Lee
