All Regal Lancers started out as LD3 (Custom Royal) 2 door hardtops. They then got the special color and trim package. Some of of trim was "parts bin" stuff. They used '57 Dodge hood ornaments, eyebrow from Chrysler Windsor, grille badge was adapted from the station wagon peice. Knowing this helps make finding parts a little easier, but there are some unique pieces, like the side spear stainless. The colors were bronze and either black or white. Production was something like 1160. A prototype was produced for '59 but not built due to the low volume. I've only seen 3 in person (including mine) but I know of about 4 more. I chanced upon mine back in 1980. I didn't know anything about the model, only that it was the coolest '50s Mopar I had ever seen. It was rough but complete and I drove it home. My friends told me I was nuts but in retrospect it was the best $300 I ever spent.
