If you power out of an early hemi. The Chrysler is the best way to go. The intial cost of the engine is a little higher but their is a ton of H.P. parts. For about 5 grand PAW has 354 or 392 kits or for 9 grand you can get one with a blower. I would personally go with a Big Block Mopar. The wedge heads develop great torque to get a car off the line. The "B" series engine love to rev too. I helping my buddy build a 451 stroker. It'll have 525hp and 600 ft-lbs of torque.
