Definitely the Desoto is the better choice, and NOT because I own a DeSoto (I do), but from the styling and the numbers built, a better vehicle to save. Also, got to "www.desoto.org" and get information on joining the National DeSoto Club (NDC). WE have a pretty good bunch of guys that will help you on fixup or restoration issues, as well as a parts coordinator to help you locate that missing trim piece.
