Yes, my 55 was originally equipped with power brakes. It is a New Yorker and had that funny side discharge looking master cylinder and, as I recall, a booster that was held together with an external ring. I have not tried getting either rebuilt, but I think the booster can be redone with no problem. The master cylinder has a funny size bore (.68") and I don't know about a kit for it.
