I've never had any trouble pegging the speedo at 120 on my '61 newport. I'm actually thinking about putting the cluster from a 300 in it so I can see how high up I can get that (I have plenty of pedal left when pegged). Although, this engine is nowhere close to stock, but the rest of the car was....
