i have disks on my original tapered shaft 8.3/4 1960 plymouth axle using the original hubs (seperated from the drums) and using the universal 4.5" willwood aluminum rotor hubs and willwood vented rotors. no welding required BUT i had to destroy the original dust shields. i had to cut around the center section to use them as axle shaft retainers only and sandwiched them between axle housing and aluminum wilwood mounting brackets. i have wilwood brakes in front too using the original hubs. these brakes are GOOD. no fading after 140-0 mph stops.
