Yes I believe that there would be plenty of stock left for a turning/sleeving operation. I looked at the pits on the drum and found the worst were about .030" deep. However, where would I find the tolerance limits for this kind of salvage operation on the drum? Would that be something a machinist could come up with, or would I have to chase down a Chrysler salvage/rework spec? what kind of damage would the pits create on the bands if the pits were left after smoothing the surface?
