You might try going BACKWARDS in time for a swaybar. The ones on the 55/56 Chryslers and DeSotos are about 7/8" to 1" thick, and the layout of the old full-framed kingpin suspensions is very similar to the 57 torsion-bar frame. One of these might be able to be fitted with only minor mods.
