Contact the DaimlerChrysler Historical Society (part of the D-C Museum). THey can get you the build sheet for this vehicle from archives. Their email address is : "http://www.daimlerchrysler.com/museum/about/archives/index.html". The checkered flag was generally associated with the D500 option, which was made available across all body lines for Dodge (unlike the 300B and the DeSoto Adventurer). Look at the engine ID of your car. It should have a D500-xxxxxxx number if it is a true D500. Secondarily, the valve coveres should have "dimples" raised in them for clearance of the adjusters on the exhaust rocker arms, as this car came with a solid-lifter camshaft. If the engine is NOT a D500, it could still be that the vehicle originally was, and the engine exchanged sometime in the past. That is where the DaimlerChrysler Historical group can help you. They may also be able to tell you to what dealership and when the car was first delivered.
