According to my "Ross Roy" specification booklet (dated October, 1958), the three speed stick (non-overdrive) was available with ALL 1959 engines, though the V-8 three speeds had heavy duty bearings and different gear ratios( for first and second) than the six cylinder units. The 230 HP 318 two barrel was available with all Furys EXCEPT the Sport Fury. The Sport Fury's base engine was listed as the 260 HP 318 four barrel. Hope this information helps.
