Nope.... re-coring means to remove the old heat-exchanger portion (basically the portion of the radiator that you can see light through unless it's full of bugs) and to put a completely new one in. This is still a skilled and time consuming job, and I'd always prefer to have someone local I know do it rather than someone in Taiwan or Tijuana. A core can be custom ordered to any size to fit YOUR radiator exactly, no matter what car.
