Go for the radials, Beckie. They are much safer and much nicer handling than bias plies. Your tire shop should be able to determine the right tire depending on your rim size, but be aware that you'll probably need to get a high profile tire so that the rolling size of your wheel is as similar as possible to the bias ply size, otherwise you'll get significant speedometer error. I have found that light truck or SUV tires are often the most suitable for older cars.
