My 57 Dodge 325 is being rebuilt giving me time a chance to take care of odds and ends. I want to use the original parts execpt for things like a modern spin-on oil filter. How good are the old glass fuel filters compared to modern ones? The air filter is a big oval shaped canister (painted black) with a paper filter inside - can you still by these filters? I was able to get the torque converter nuts off without a lot of trouble since in 57 they decided to put a cut out in the bottom of the flex plate - my 56 315 didn't have this. I also had my carter wcfb rebuilt by Hal at CPC - www.classicpreservation.com - He does really nice work! Next on the list is the gas tank ....
