Hello George, Dont feel bad I just had the same problem a couple of days ago when I pulled the engine out of my 58 Belvedere.(I'm new to forward look cars) The flywheel and torque converter are connected by welds that have to be ground off to seperate them. The best way I could see was to go up and take the whole set up loose from the rear crank flang.(I think its eight bolts)Then it all comes loose from the engine. Hope that helps some. Mike
