Hi! I think itīs difficult to try to use the original spindels with disc brakes because there is nothing to bolt the brake saddles on. I used 76-78 New Yorker parts in my disk brake conversion. The spindles, saddles, discs etc. bolted right in. I used the original ball joints and tie rod ends. The only bigger problem was that the tie rods needed some trimming (1"/side if I remember correct). I think the steering "feel" is the same but because my steering is "over powered" anyway I canīt say for sure. Check the pick on my site: www.sunpoint.net/~jjak70
