I have a Vintage Air system in my '66 Chevy pick up. It works well. That is a big plus here in Las Vegas. I wonder if they have something that will work with later B/RB engine brackets (1968-78?) Then you could install an alternator as well. I would prefer an alternator with an A/C car so the battery doesn't run down if you are idling in traffic. I know some pre-alternator air cars had hand throttles to avoid such a situation. Generators recharge depleted batteries rapidly when RPMs come up, but they generally don't sustain a charge at idle when a heavy draw option like A/C is putting a load on the charging system.
